Twisty is a retired clown who is unhappy with the arrival of the freak show and seeks ways to make their lives a living hell. He is a character in Freak Show portrayed by John Carroll Lynch. He wears a mask at the bottom of his face hiding his terrifying nature.

Story
He is first seen in Episode 1 Monsters Among Us In which A young couple are kissing, And intend to have sex. The man walks over to his car to get a gift for her while she tidy's up the picnic area, not noticing a clown is slowly making his way to her. once she spots him she bolts to her feet and stares at him asking who he is until he's in front of her. she doesn't run because she thought that her boyfriend had hired this clown to entertain her. She shows obvious signs of discomfort, but she stays through his performance. He bows to her, and pulls out some flowers. She takes the flowers and thanks him. He then pulls out three juggling pins one by one, and presents them with a gesture. When her boyfriend returns from the car he questions who the clown is, because he didn't hire him. The girlfriend begins to panic, but the boyfriend remains calmer. Twisty bows once more with the juggling pins in hand and whacks both the boyfriend and the girlfriend out. and she wakes up to her boyfriend being stabbed repeatedly in the chest by the clown. she tries to run away but She falls and Twisty catches up to her.
A radio announces later on that more and more people have been killed by a mysterious murderer and that a young boy and A woman have gone missing.
Later on in the episode We see Bonnie Lipton , Who was the girlfriend from the previous scene In a cage in the back of the bus, along with Corey Bachman A young boy who was captured after his parents where killed by Twisty. He proceeds to try and entertain them, but they only give him looks of horror. He tries from a different angle and blows up a balloon and tries to make a balloon animal. But he rushes it and ends up popping the animal, Distressing the two captives and causing Twisty to become enraged, He throws jars on the floor, and bangs on their cages, and pulls the bunting and the streamers down, Alongside this the two captives are howling in fright.
Twisty is seen again in episode 2, Massacres and Matinees A Store clerk retruns from the diner with a coffee for the store owner. He finds a drum that's on the floor and moves to pick it up and put it back in its place. He turns around to find a wind-up robot toy heading towards him from the next area tracking in a trail of blood in its path. The store clerk heads towards the toy, Failing to notice Twisty Lurking in clear sight with a pair of scissors in his grip, however he is so still he seems to look like a doll or a Pretend clown.
Once the clerk reaches the end of the trail he finds a pool of blood. and looks up to see his Boss's head has been torn off and is sitting on the shelf. He takes a quick step back to get away from the sight and Twisty is behind him, and jams the scissors into his throat. The store clerk never saw what his killer looked like, as this was all done from behind. however the look on Twisty's face doesn't show that he is happy with what he has just done. Even though he has a Grim smile plastered to his face.
