  • Hi everyone! I really just wanted to suggest something for the wiki to help make it a better place, please let me know whether you agree or disagree.

So, I was thinking that for the Roanoke characters, we remove the re-enactment image and who portrayed Matt, Shelby or Lee or the others like Audrey, Dominic, in the image and infobox, however, hear me out, we have a part, near the bottom of the page (Shelby, Lee, Matt, Butcher etc.) which states all of the things I'm suggesting of removing from the top half of the page. This would make more sense and less confusing.

For Schathach and Mama Polk who don't have names for the actors, we just put, "portrayed by an unknown actress." And state the differences from the primary and re-enactment.

So, all and all, I'm suggesting the remove of the image "Re-Enactment" from character pages as well as the infobox saying "also portrayed by [Dominic Banks]." And put all this information on the bottom of their pages. Here's an example: Shelby Miller.

    What do you think?

    • Excuse me, but I've already said no. Johnny has also already said no. Pursuing this is a non-starter.

Umm, this is for the forum, and it can't just be your decisions. It should be a community decision. It's not just you two I'm asking. Isn't it a community?

    • Actually, I think you misunderstand this type of decision. This is not a consensus issue, and yes, it can just be my decision. Not all wikis use a consensus type system for decision-making, and this one does not. Furthering this when you've already been told — unequivocally — no is disruptive.

    • So basically if many people agree and you say no, it goes with your opinion? ( sorry if this sounds rude, I'm honestly asking, i'm trying for it not to sound rude )

    • Frankly, yes. That's exactly what it means. This community does not operate under the same type of system that you appear to be most familiar with, and I can understand your confusion. But this is not a public consensus issue. The admins and moderators do not necessarily take public opinion into account, and that works for us here as a system.

I see, well I apologise for the confusion.
