The theory can't be true because in part 2 of the Halloween episode, one of the teens that Tate killed said she would be 34 if she were still alive. When Tate killed the kids, he was probably the same age or around the same age as them. That means if he were still alive, he would be about 34 by now, and Ben's obviously quite a bit older than that.
