Leslie Grossman is an actor.

Biography[]

Leslie Grossman was born on October 25, 1971. In 1999, Grossman was cast in her first major role, playing Mary Cherry in the WB series Popular. After her work on Popular, she joined the cast of What I Like About You in its second season, playing Val's co-worker and best friend, Lauren.

On TV, Grossman has appeared on Nip/Tuck, Charmed, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. In 2011, she guest-starred on Melissa & Joey, and in 2012 she appeared on The New Normal and Ben & Kate.

She has appeared in film two times, in an uncredited role and in Itty Bitty Titty Committee as Maude.

Work on American Horror Story[]

Leslie Grossman portrayed Meadow Wilton, a nosy neighbor in the seventh installment of the series, subtitled "Cult", as well as Patricia Krenwinkel during a flashback.

Grossman returned to the show in its eighth installment, Apocalypse, in a regular capacity as heiress Coco St. Pierre Vanderbilt.

Leslie Grossman was cast as another main character in the ninth season, 1984, where she portrayed Margaret Booth, the owner of Camp Redwood. In February 2021, Ryan Murphy confirmed her return for the tenth season, where she starred in both parts, or "features". Grossman portrayed literary agent Ursula Khan in "Red Tide", and Calico, a veteran of extraterrestrial's schemes in "Death Valley".

For the eleventh installment, titled AHS: NYC, Grossman plays Barbara Read, an office worker with suspicions and in the twelfth installment, Delicate, she plays Ashleigh, a seemingly supernatural PR expert.

Leslie Grossman on playing Coco St. Pierre Vanderbilt[]

Leslie Grossman described Coco as "what the kids call 'extra,'"^[1] and revealed that she partially based her interpretation of Coco on Tinsley Mortimer from The Real Housewives. She thinks that Coco is not burdened by any sort of conscience, and described her as ruthless and self-focused.^[2]

In 1999, she was cast in her first major role, playing supporting character Mary Cherry in Ryan Murphy's high school drama series Popular. She also appeared in Nip/Tuck and The New Normal, two TV series also created and produced by Ryan Murphy.
Grossman and Matthew Morrison are the only main cast not featured in every episode of 1984.
Grossman was nominated for the fan-voted award of "Best Main Antagonist" (for Ursula Khan in Double Feature: Red Tide) & "Best Supporting Actress" (for Calico in Double Feature: Death Valley) of the (now cancelled) "FANDOM Awards", a fan-cast event.
Double Feature: Death Valley is the only time Leslie Grossman has appeared in an installment of the series without Billie Lourd.
