To keep us occupied as we wait in the off-season, I'd like to introduce a new set of events for AHS Wiki. "Contributor Challenges" are a themed way to focus on areas and articles that need love, while bringing us the opportunity to feature contributors old and new. Each month-long challenge will feature ways to let our contributors shine in both our hearts, and on the Achievements Leaderboard. A challenge may focus on Fluffing existing articles (like stubs or screencaps), or whole Categories (which may provide even more bonus points). In addition to points, quality editors will be noticed by we administrators, and may find themselves featured in special ways. If you've made or seen a particularly noteworthy edit, be sure to +1 or đŸ‘ Like it

    Briarcliff Montgomery

Today I am here to wish a happy birthday to the most valuable member of the cast of "American Horror Story", the wonderfully talented Jessica Lange. I thank Jessica for having blessed us with his impressive gift. With her I learned to be a good father (Constance) and how to be a good boss (Sister Jude). From the bottom of my heart I hope to learn many other "tricks" with this muse of actresses, until it is no longer possible.

Thank you Jessica, and Happy Birthday!!!

I was thinking. The production for AHS is great with symbolism and what not. And I've been thinking about the foreshadowing line from Jude - "If you look in the face of evil, evil is going to look right back at you".

So I feel after a first viewing what most of us think is "Oh I see what you did there, foreshadowing all the horror that fell upon poor oh Lana". But then I can't help but think, and I no this is not a general consensus, that Lana adopted some evil qualities after all her trauma.

And then if you watch the Cinematography for that one scene it's -

When you look in the face of evil- (close up on Jude's Face) Evil is going to look right back at you (Close up on Lana's face)

Think about that. I feel like AHS was making a distinct poin

Half of you will not believe, others will want me to admit to Briarcliff. But I have proof that the Constance's fourth son is actually:

The Albino who appeared in that infamous fake image that ran this wiki for a long time.

Visiting a Brazilian site (#nationpride) I bumped into a report (Albino ), it says that the actor, Stephen Thompson, came to be hired as a supporting actor, but was cut from the series. He even had a scene with Evan Peters in the Pilot episode (pictures below), but this scene is not shown on the DVD / Blu-Ray of the first season.

Good evening all! Hoping that the long wait between stories is not leaving you chilled (like poor Wendy Peyser in the freezer). We have a few things to discuss. We have some issues on improving the quality of the site to discuss and get some consensus on, so please be sure to vote in the polls below before March 31, 2013. The longer time in the off-season for voting may be less necessary with one of the proposals below, but in the meantime we are just snagging eyeballs. (No, not like that.)

    First to the announcements:

    • Welcome back to Izzy, an admin returned from long absence.
    • Everyone seems to be liking the new Forum, with many active discussions.

    By any other name

    February 25, 2013 by FishTank

As Asylum comes to a close, we look back on some of the parts of the story that worked, and the parts that fizzled. Whether you think of them as Briarcliff Manor's security system (which was somehow never noticed by Sister Jude!) or as troubled souls contorted by a sadist, Arden's creations are part of a more basic controversy: what do we call them?

Production (aka, the people who make the show) call them Raspers. That word was never used on the show, much like the characters in a zombie film or television never use the word "zombie", by tradition. They also used the name "Infantata" to describe what became of poor Thaddeus Montgomery. No character used that name during Murder House. Yet Infantata gets a page named after him, and the Rasper

NOTE:The following is posted here for maximum visibility. Should it be approved by an Admin it is to be transcluded to a more official location.

    • Sentence case – Capitalization of only the first word, proper nouns and as dictated by other specific English rules.
    • Title Case – Capitalization of the first word, and all other words, except for articles, prepositions, and conjunctions.

Sentence case is used, obviously, when writing sentences and it is the unspoken official format for the main body of an AHS Wiki article. When it comes to non-sentences as used elsewhere in the wiki (i.e. section headers, infobox titles and data) it is a matter of preference and there is currently no official guideline. So I wish to put it up to a vote.

American Horror Story is my second favorite show on TV right now. Yet I am finding that ever since I Am Anne Frank: Part Two (which was a great episode), it has gotten really jumbled and all over the place. I find it making less and less sense and that it is getting a bit ridiculous. I have talked to friends and family and they seem to agree. Anyone else getting dissapointed?

Anyone else here who has a hunch that Kit and Grace are having a baby? Along with the alien? I'm sorry. I just feel like it's an AHS trademark-to concieve twins w/ different fathers. Only this time, the other father was extra-therrestrial and not a ghost but still both are not human.

I really want Kit and Grace to somehow end up together and concieve a love child. That's the only light we have left in the asylum. Everything is just so creepy and dark, yea yea! I'm aware it is a horror show but still. They disappointed us w/ Violate team up before. So now I'm really rooting for the love birds. :">

I just read the article about the third season, and I was (like everyone else) wondering what's to come.

In my country (Brazil) people are thinking that American Horror Story would end in Asylum, because the creators could not write more different stories. I say no to that! The creators, more than once, proved to be competent enough to do it, I believe they can maintain it.

Here are my ideas for next season and the actors that I would like to see them:

Veteran Actors: Jessica Lange, Lily Rabe, Evan Peters, James Cromwell, Zachary Quinto, Chloë Sevigny, Denis O'Hare, Connie Britton, Franka Potente, Frances Conroy and Dylan McDermott.

New Actors: Allan Hyde (True Blood), Madeleine Stowe (Revenge), Jennifer Jason Leigh (Revenge), Terry O'Quinn (Lo

He was in a Santa suit sucking on a candy cane with a girl on his lap. What is going on there?
Well, I can tell you Ian and I had a lot of amazing Christmas things to do together. Sister Mary Eunice has something to do with why his character is wearing that Santa suit. She has a lot of Christmas spirit, that's for sure.
So there will be a Christmas episode of American Horror Story?
Oh yes. Of course, right? That was one of my favorite ones to shoot, actually. Ian and I got to do some really evil things together, and I have to say it was a career highlight. He's such a wonderful man. We had great stuff in the common room, with all of those background actors, the inmates. I can say Christmas will never be the same for me after shooting that epis

Announced today: We can expected a third televised miniseries of American Horror Story

    from Inside TV
American Horror Story is getting a third season.
The FX horror anthology shock-fest has ordered 13 more episodes from executive producers Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. “With American Horror Story: Asylum, Ryan and Brad have raised the bar in every way from Murder House, the first American Horror Story miniseries,” said FX president and general manager John Landgraf. “And their original idea—the notion of doing an anthological series of miniseries with a repertory cast—has proven groundbreaking, wildly successful and will prove to be trendsetting. We can’t wait to see what deviously brilliant ideas they come up with for their third miniseries.”

    Unofficial Quote Guide

    November 14, 2012 by OGRastamon

NOTE: All views expressed in this article are those of the author and do not necessarily represent the views of, and should not be attributed to, the AHS Wiki community, its Admins or Wikia staff.

What makes a good quotation? That's what I want to explore here with express focus upon those used in this wiki's articles.

    A good quote is quotable
A quotable quote is one you'll want to say aloud. As often as you can fit it into conversation. It brings joy to both the speaker and the listener. If truly quotable it will have meaning even to those not familiar with its source. For example,
"Well, that's cast rather a gloom over the evening, hasn't it?" would work just about anywhere while
"Then you must cut down the mightiest tree in the forest... wit

I know what you've heard. None of last seasons characters would be returning this year. It's true. However, many roles are back and going strong.

    • 1 The Dark Mater
    • 2 The Lovers
    • 3 The Unknown Killer
    • 4 The Creature
    • 5 The Mad Doctor
    • 6 The Crazy Bitch
    • 7 The Succubus
    • 8 The Adonis
    • 9 The Elaboration
    • 10 Killer Fanatics
    • 11 References

Sr. Jude is this seasons Constance. The role of both is to provide a juicy character for Jessica Lange to sink her teeth into. They are both strong women with wicked pasts.

The Kit/Grace pairing fills the gap left by Tate/Violet. Once again we see Evan Peters play out the drama of a young man uncertain whether he's a multiple murderer and his developing romance with a strange girl. Only this time the girl may have the darker past.

The consensus on the world wide web is that the true name of Dr. Arden, as purported by Anne Frank, is Hans Gruber. Most seem to be aware of the name's previous use in fiction, so they're not completely clueless. Some go as far as to challenge AHS writers for this choice.

However, "Gruber" is not what I hear. I've listened repeatedly and I hear "Cooper" (most likely spelled "Kuepper"). I can't be certain if:

    1. They all misheard and substituted a familiar name with a similar sound.
    2. Most of them said "Huh?", did a Google search and then accepted the first claim they found from some random person on tumblr.
    3. I am actually completely wrong.

I've tweeted Murphy for the answer but I'm not holding out hope for a response.

November 8, 2012 by Jack- gleelover

Hey. So i'm a new user here, i've been coming to this wiki for awhile, looking at spoilers but i daren't comment. But i have this interesting idea, well i think it's interesting.

Well you know how AHS was made by Ryan Murphy who also has created shows, Glee and The New Normal. I was thinking what if AHS had a musical element, if it did, who would sing in what episodes and what would they sing?

Ep 1 - Welcome To Briarcliff.

I think the singers would be -

    • Teresa and Leo ( Opening scene)
    • Sister Jude and Lana (Meeting scene in her office)
    • Sister Jude and Monsignor ( The dinner scene when she's stripping in her imagination)
    • Kit (As he walks into the common room)
    • Kit and Grace (During their talk with each other through the cells)

Dedicated to both the TV series and the graphic novels, the more relevant articles are well formatted founts of information mostly free of typos and misguided grammar. Asylum is a hit

    October 18, 2012 by FishTank

I was certainly excited to see the Asylum open last night, and obviously others agree!

    From http://tvline.com/2012/10/18/ratings-american-horror-story-asylum-premiere/

The Wednesday night premiere of American Horror Story: Asylum, the second chapter in Ryan Murphy’s spookfest, delivered insanely good numbers for FX — a total audience of 3.85 million viewers, with 2.8 mil landing in the 18-49 demo (based on fast nationals). Those tallies best any episode of the original American Horror Story miniseries, and mark gains of 20 and 40 percent from AHS‘ year-ago launch. Asylum currently stands as the 10 o’clock hour’s No. 2 program in 18-49, behind CBS’ CSI and ahead of ABC’s Nashville and NBC’s Chicago Fire, and trounced all time slot rivals in

    A Look at Season 2

    October 10, 2012 by Porterfield

The second season of American Horror Story premieres next week on October 17th, and let it be known right here and now that we shall only refer to this season as Asylum. For those of you not familiar with the show and the nature of the upcoming season, creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk have decided to make AHS more of an anthology than a series. Whereas Season 1 (now referred to as "Murder House") had a cast of characters in a story revolving around a Victorian home, "Asylum" will have a completely different cast of characters in a story revolving around a creepy sanitarium called Briarcliff Manor. If the first season was the horror version of a family drama, the new season will be the horror version of a workplace drama. The two seas

So here's the cast promo poster for American Horror Story Asylum. Found first by and posted on Bloody Disgusting . The only problem is that the only version of this image on the entirety of the internet is a measly 232 x 350 upload. Regardless, It's pretty clear that the image is authentic seeing that it has all the cast in their costumes posing in posistions not seen in any other promo shot. I enlarged it and did the best I can to give it some amount of quality, though I admit that I am no Photoshop guru.
