Ashley Gilbert is a flamboyant actor who has portrayed Cricket Marlowe in My Roanoke Nightmare. He is a character in American Horror Story portrayed by Leslie Jordan.
Personality and Appearance
A short man with light eyes, short gray hair and a solar face. Ashley has a very flamboyant personality, and he's also slightly touchy. He appears to believe in supernatural occurrences, seen when he tries the "Croatoan" spell on Piggy Man and admitted to perceive sensations from Priscilla's bonnet.
Story
Ashley was cast as the actor for Cricket Marlowe in the production of My Roanoke Nightmare. In terms of the next installment, Return to Roanoke: 3 Days in Hell, he was not invited back by Sidney Aaron James, something that has very irritated Ashley.
Ashley agreed to do a special with Spirit Chasers, a show similar to Ghost Hunters. The group illegally travel back to the house (which has been closed off to the public). It's there they find Lee, looking for Flora. Lee tells them to leave before Ashley has an encounter with the Piggy Man. Ashley, believing in the "Croatoan" spell, screams the word at the Piggy Man. As the spell does not work, the Piggy Man murders Ashley.[1]
Notes
- Ashley is the third character portrayed by Leslie Jordan in American Horror Story. Others were Quentin Fleming in Coven, and the Cricket Marlowe reenactment in Roanoke.
- All the characters he portrayed were homosexual and they all died in the season in which they appeared.
